Hi!

I'm Julia Scott

One of many Julia Scott’s of the world that is! I’m the one who writes books… specifically books about magic, love, and sometimes aliens.

The Mirror Souls Trilogy

Official Author Bio:

Julia Scott is a British author, whose goal is to take you out of ‘regular life’ and teleport you to new worlds and alternate futures through her writing. The Mirror Souls trilogy (YA Science Fantasy) is her debut series, and like many sci-fi and fantasy books, it started off as a dream.

In her ‘other’ life, Julia lives in Essex, England and is mama to her two children. She spends the rest of her time writing, helping authors with formatting (The Book Formatting Formula and Evenstar Books), singing, gaming, and digging or planting stuff up in the garden without really knowing what she’s doing.

Unofficial Hello:

I started writing in 2017, so I haven’t been at it all that long. In fact, I’m one of those authors who has never had a lifelong dream to become a writer. It’s true! When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. Later on, I wanted to be a meteorologist or a volcanologist (I have a BSc degree in Physical and Environmental Geography). But when I had a dream that I thought would make a fantastic book, I decided to write it. I found out about NaNoWriMo, and completed 50,000 words in 20 days in 2018. A few months later, I published The Mirror Souls!

I love to take readers out of the real world, and specifically into the unknown of the future. None of us know what the future holds, and even though the worlds I write aren’t always pretty, you can bet on finding love, hope, friendship, and bravery in my characters.

If you decide to take a chance on my books, I really hope that you enjoy them. I’d love to hear from you if you do! If you didn’t… well, I hope you can find another author that floats your boat. Check out my blog for my recommendations!

Thanks for taking the time to be here, and have a great day.

Sci-fi (without being too heavy), near-future dystopia (without being too stark and depressing) and soulmate romance with a twist.

I love to write about families, friendships, love (with accidental love triangles, but not always), enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, sticking it to the man (aka the government/overlords), and all sorts of fantasy and sci-fi elements.
